Lewis Potter has had a lifelong interest in firearms. In 1974 he joined a local rifle and pistol club, which gave him the opportunity to obtain, restore and modify his own rifles. In 1987 he and his wife set up business as gunsmiths and riflemakers with considerable help and guidance from the late, well-respected Cheltenham gunsmith and riflemaker, G L Hart. Lewis has written two other highly acclaimed books for The Crowood Press- The Art of Gunsmithing - The Shotgun [2006] and Deer Stalking and Management [2008].
