About the Author

Jerry Klinke has written and illustrated many publications on industrial crane and rigging operations. These are used in vocational-technical, apprenticeship, and college courses throughout the United States and Canada. His books are very popular at job sites as a valuable field reference for riggers and crane operators. He has been involved with rigging and crane operations since 1976. A respected instructor for craftsmen of all disciplines, Jerry has been teaching rigging related subjects for the last 17 years. He is an executive officer for Association of Crane and Rigging Professionals (ACRP) and is a member of the NCCCO Rigging Task Force that was formed in April 2007. He is a frequent speaker on safety training in the construction industry, and the promotion of standardized testing and qualification of crane operators, riggers, and signalmen.
