REVIEWS

"heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and longing."
"Until the Right One Comes Along is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and longing. Haley writes with a raw, honest intensity that looks you directly in the eye as he lays bare his soul. A palpable ache runs through the poems, but Haley doesn’t dwell there. While many moments throughout this collection flirt with the edge of despair, an undeniable undercurrent of hope pervades." Karin Kohlmeier, Literary Editor, New York, New York

"get a feel of what love is about"
“If you want to get a feel of what love is about, what kindness is about, what sharing is about... then read and enjoy every single line.” Isalinde Giovangigli, Actress/Director, Paris, France

"emotional roller coaster"
"This is less a poetic collection and more of a memoir about the struggle of finding love in a world where instant gratification is prized over longevity and loyalty. He uses prose poems and rhyming verse, though the rhyming verse worked less well when I read it. The prose poems were the stand outs in this collection.

This is journey to find love is full of ups and downs, meeting someone who is the right fit but at the wrong time because you don’t love yourself enough. Meeting many wrong men to find that they only want a one-night stand.

Until the Right One Comes Along by Chris Haley explores the harsh realities of looking for companionship and love in today’s world as a LGBTQ+ person, which makes it doubly hard. It’s an emotional roller coaster, but ultimately, the message is you must first believe you are worthy of love in order to find it." Serena Agusto-Cox, Poet
