All The Right Things: Good Things Come Book 9

"For lovers of horses, the race track and those who want to immerse themselves in the lives of wonderful characters. This book does not disappoint." - Amazon review

Fifteen years, and he still thought of his late father every time he stepped up to this rail. His feet didn’t quite fit in the imprints left there, but every new racing season, he had fresh hope that he’d measure up.

This was supposed to be Dean Taylor’s year — the one where he finally steps out of his late father’s shadow and makes his own mark as a racehorse trainer. His big horse is primed for a breakthrough season, his flashy two-year-old is turning heads, and for once, it feels like everything’s going right.

Until it all falls apart.

An injury ends his star horse’s career. The promising colt is sold to foreign interests. His staff bails, and his sister — the one person who’s always had his back — is moving out. Suddenly, Dean’s faced with the prospect of empty stalls, an empty house, and an unlikely hero: a laid-back colt who’d rather nap than race.

Just when things can’t get worse, Caroline shows up — sharp-tongued, impossible Caroline — the last person Dean ever wanted to see again. She’s looking for a job.

Dean’s desperate enough to hire her — but is trusting her his biggest gamble yet?
