The Right To Be

The Right to Be is a powerful and unique attempt to introduce children to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It asserts that we are all born free and equal – no matter how we look, where we are born or whether we are rich or poor. Rights are the same for everyone, and they protect us all equally. With its simplified text, stunning illustrations and engaging stories that accompany each article, this book turns difficult concepts into comprehensible ideas. Each of the thirty articles is also followed by useful exercises that can be used by teachers and parents to engage with children in the classroom or at home. Human Rights concern each one of us. This wonderful book explains the concept of the rights in a way that we can relate to in our own lives. It shows us how we can help to make the world a better place and live together in peace and harmony.
