About the Author: Daniel Sarewitz is the co-director of the Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes and a professor of science and society at the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University. His work focuses on the connections between science policy decisions, scientific research, and social outcomes.
