About the Author

Dani Vee is a children’ s author, podcaster and works in publishing and publicity at Larrikin House. Dani’ s picture books My EXTRAordinary Mum and the My EPIC Dad! series are both quirky and fun, written to engage kids in humour as well as provide the opportunity for discussions about stereotypes, resilience and going outside one’ s comfort zone. Dani also hosts the popular Words and Nerds podcast, where she chats to authors about their work. The podcast has had over one million plays and continues to be an important part of the literary landscape. Jules has worked in book illustration for over a decade, including as an animator on a Disney program, a live caricature artist, an editorial cartoonist and has taught Comic Book Illustration, Scriptwriting and Storyboarding. His debut book with author Anh Do, WeirDo, won the Australian Book Industry Awards Book of the Year for Older Children in 2014 and a KOALA (Kids Own Australian Literature Award) every year since.
