About the Author

British artist Leonard Leslie Brooke (1862–1940) achieved renown with his illustrations for Andrew Lang's Nursery Rhyme Book. His other acclaimed titles for Frederick Warne and Company include Ring O' Roses, The Golden Goose Book, Oranges and Lemons, and the Johnny Crow series.
