One in a series of special limited publications created by Louis Vuitton that contain sketches, drawings and paintings of a particular place in the world. The subject of this one is Rio de Janeiro and it contains colored drawings/watercolors of various scenes in Rio and of its people at work and at play. A brief statement on the second page is in Brazilian Portuguese, French, and English. Here is the English version in full: "This travel notebook invites you to discover Rio de Janeiro. It includes blank pages for adding your own personal notes and sketches." Never used in this manner. Some, not all of the pictures are captioned. These are the only texts in this beautifully designed picture book. Horizontal format with a metal spiral binding and stiff green-colored cardboard covers. Measures 9.5" x 5.5" with probably over 100 pages. A black holder for a small sketch pencil is attached to the back cover (the pencil is no longer included). One of the drawings from the book, probably showing Copacabana Beach, is pasted on the front cover. A pocket in the inside front cover includes 4 regular-sized postcards in color showing scenes of Rio de Janeiro. In excellent condition with no marks of any kind; spiral is also in perfect condition.
