Thin folio tan pictorial cloth stamped in gilt. All edges gilt. Illustrated with 10 full-page monochrome tissue-guarded plates and numerous text vignettes as well as a frontispiece portrait of Irving on silk, by Merrill. Front inner hinge cracked but sound, else a fine bright copy of a lavishly produced edition.
