Ripping Up the Script: One couple's journey through infertility, a man's perspective

1 in 7 couples in the UK find it difficult to conceive a baby, more than 50 million couples worldwide. Infertility is a rising global health issue and it can knock your life off course like nothing else. But confront it we must, all of us who encounter it, however hard that may be.This is one man’s story of one couple’s journey through infertility. How they had to rip up the baby script, from the early months of their derailing discovery, through the roller coaster rides of IVF (including a final throw of the dice in Las Vegas), to the breathtaking day, several years later, when they meet the baby they are about to adopt.“It’s hugely important that men can find the confidence to get fully involved in their partner's and perhaps their own fertility issues. Fertility has for too long been seen as mostly a women’s issue. Today, thankfully, as books like this show, this is changing - for the better.”Zita West, fertility expert. “This is an entertaining and useful read about fertility. The more men’s voices out there, the easier it will become for us to talk about it.”Gareth Down, founder of Men’s Fertility Support, a men-only Facebook group.
