Rise of the Anointed Ones: Anointed for Such a Time as This (Paperback or Softback)

The "Rise of the Anointed Ones" is a 40-day devotional book that perfectly fits our present times. As you read through the 40 devotionals, you will find a beautiful blend of timeless truths fitly applied to today's culture and challenges. The majestic flow from theme to theme contains powerful prophetic revelations as God calls His Anointed Ones to rise. Each of these devotionals stands on its own, but together they will propel the reader into a rewarding journey of experiencing God's presence in tumultuous times. Each devotional ends with a Davidic poem in nature flowing like a delightful stream with heavenly impartations. "Rise of the Anointed Ones" is like a voice in the wilderness calling God's beloved away from all that distracts to Him who is jealous for His bride.

There is no doubt we are in the midst of tumultuous times. As we experience one catastrophe after another amid a worldwide pandemic, it is obvious. Riots with cities in flames, hurricanes, earthquakes, political unrest, and turmoil amid a world filled with hatred towards those who think differently are all part of what has now become our normalized world. It appears our world is falling apart at its seams. As Christians, what are we to do in an environment controlled by violence, fear, and the terror of what is to come? Have we been anointed for such a time as this? Is this not a time for the saints of God to arise in amid the darkness with the anointing of the Holy Spirit infilling us as we go forth into the harvest fields of the world? The devotionals in this book challenge the reader to rise as the anointed ones in this critical hour of the Church's destiny.

Reviews: Ken Birks has written a masterpiece of superb continuity. Each daily devotional, along with the poem, and special prayer, became my favorite in the whole book - until I read the next one. The majestic flow from theme to theme contains powerful prophetic revelation, as God calls His end-time warriors to arise. I was also amazed by the poems that followed each devotional - the words were Davidic and musical - they flowed like a delightful stream with heavenly impartations. - Edward Becker

"There are few authors who can take theology and turn it into a devotional series of divine, inspiring nuggets and poetry. Ken Birks is an author who penetrates your heart and soul to know God better. - Dr. Jay Zinn

When thinking about reading a devotional, one must ask themselves two questions: Is it relevant, and what makes it stand apart from the myriad of devotionals one can choose from? From my perspective, devotionals can be vital tools in improving upon our quiet time experience with God. They should be able to bring scriptural insight to us. Scripture is far more important than the words of even the most famous of authors, for it is Scripture that penetrates our souls with God's wisdom and daily guidance. Ken's work ensures that God's Word takes center stage and holds the most important place within it so that it remains both timeless and relevant. - Doug Hartline
