Years later, once certain that the danger has passed, the monarchs send for their daughter, only do discover the village where she had been hidden was destroyed in a demon raid. Grieving the loss of their heir, the had no idea that Marcia and her younger sister Shay had changed their names and were on their way to the capital seeking the King's help.
