Synopsis:

Joni sees her senior year in high school falling apart when her gorgeous cousin comes to live with her and starts moving in on her life, including her boyfriend.

Reviews: Grade 7-12 Joni Allen has all the prospects for a perfect senior year in full swinghandsome boyfriend Jason, a popular crowd of girlfriends, good grades, etc. But when her beautiful, bright and poised cousin Kate comes from California to spend the year with the Allens , Joni's year begins its downhill slide. Kate's coyly flirtatious personality quickly earns her the eyes and ears of the guys in Joni's crowd, particularly Jason. Joni is forced into battle with her girlfriends over her hosting the treacherously charming Kate, as well as with her own jealousy over Kate's aplomb with Jason and the other guys. At resolution, Joni has been forced to realize that her breakup with Jason was probably inevitable and a harbinger of the many changes to come in the adult world. Hopper's characters are capably drawn and colored with believable dialogue, but a limp story line told for the umpteenth time is little helped by Hopper's respectable style.
