Road That Leads To No Answers

The Road That Leads to No Answers is a poetry book based on true life experiences. In this journey that we call life, we exhibit so many different emotions and it is those emotions that shape who we are today. With this piece of work, I wanted to put it all out there and take the reader through my emotional journey. I wanted people to see, hear, taste, smell, what I did, and show it from a gay, black mans perspective.

Hi, I am Steven Alexander, or as my friends call me, "S.K.," and I have been composing poetry since I was 13 years old. Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I have always strived to make my poetry innovative and thought provoking, while not sacrificing simplicity. Having ties to the north while being raised in the south, has allowed me to have a unique perspective on life and individual cultures and differences. I have attempted to focus on expressing that unique hybrid into my body of work. A "Road that leads to no answers," is a combination of love, self observing, and heart wrenching poetry, which is an honest account of my life's perspective. These poems reflect on my life's history including my relationship with my father and friends, and my handling of my sexuality. It is with this body of work that I explore the interconnection between a wide array of emotions that we as humans endure without losing oneself. From my heart and mind to yours, S.K. Alexander
