Roadblocks to God

Larry D. Lilly and John R. Watson’s ‘Roadblocks to God: A Book of Heresy’ challenges traditional doctrines and reveals a more loving God

New book offers a biblical perspective of God's true nature, inviting readers on a journey of spiritual renewal

BOISE, Idaho – Larry D. Lilly and John R. Watson announce the release of their first joint publication titled “Roadblocks to God: A Book of Heresy” (published by WestBow Press). This eye-opening exploration examines centuries-old doctrines of Christianity, aiming to dismantle the misinterpretations that have kept countless individuals from fully knowing and embracing God.

“Roadblocks to God” dissects 12 controversial key topics such as the curse, God’s sovereignty, predestination, faith and works, sacrifice, redemption, and eternal punishment — and points readers to the Scripture to help them understand God’s character through a biblical lens. In this book, the authors confront some of the most difficult questions in Christian theology, seeking to reveal God's true nature rather than the distorted images presented by traditional teachings. By challenging conventional beliefs, Lilly and Watson hope to encourage readers to look beyond outdated dogmas, drawing them into a more intimate relationship with God.

“Many people have left the church because they have heard false teachings that portray God as anything but a loving Father,” the authors state. “This book will appeal to those in the emerging church who have already begun this journey toward a more loving God.”

“Roadblocks to God: A Book of Heresy” offers an uplifting and provocative resource for anyone seeking to remove the barriers to a more loving and authentic connection with God. The book is now available for purchase at Westbow Press and other online retailers.
