About the Authors
Sonia Stevenson is one of the great chefs of Britain and her restaurant, the Hom of Plenty in Devon, won huge accolades. She was the first woman chef in the UK to be awarded a Michelin star. She is an Honorary Vice President of the Master Chefs of Great Britain and a Chef Laureate of the British Academy of Gastronomes. Now retired from the restaurant business, she teaches enormously popular cooking courses in Britain and Europe. She has a number of books to her name, including The Magic of Saucery, which was shortlisted for the Andre Simon Award. She has also written "Casseroles" (Ryland Peters s Masterchef.
Martin Brigdale has been a food photographer for twenty years. He has photographed more than thirty cookbooks and has won awards in Briatin, France, and USA, including three Glenfiddichs, a Julia Child, and a Perigueux. Although photography is his chosen profession, he is an enthusiastic amateur cook.
