Testo di presentazione di Pericle Fazzini e note biografiche. Robert Cook nacque nel 1921. Grazie alla borsa di studio Fulbright�venne in Italia dove rimase per un cinquantennio dedicandosi alla scultura. Le sue opere�tendono alla riduzione dei volumi ed alla scarnificazione delle figure per esprimere un ideale di dissoluzione della materia che affranca lo spirito. Le taglienti sagome, fuse secondo la tecnica a cera persa, sono definite dalla sintesi di pieni e vuoti, zone di luce e zone d'ombra. ITA.
