This book focuses on Protein structure prediction, Missing loop problem and Optimal alignment of two protein structures. The Missing loop problem is treated by Robotics based Inverse Kinematics (IK) method to generate the possible candidates¿ ensemble for protein loop completion. Then structure prediction of proteins (namely 1YRF and 1VII) is achieved by differential geometric approach and Frenet-Quaternion frame compared with the results by nonlinear Schrödinger equation; considering the structural similarity between a protein chain and a robotic arm. The results clearly show the location of inflection points that distinctly determine helix-loop-helix structure of the protein under study. Rucha Sawlekar received her Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Control Systems from VJTI, Mumbai University in 2012 and worked with the same institute as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests are in Dynamics and Control, Robotics, Protein Dynamics and Systems Biology.
