The Rock Collector

The Rock Collector is a story of empathy, compassion, and deep acceptance. It explores the essential wisdom that difficult emotions can work for us when we allow ourselves to fully feel them.

Parents, yogis, mindfulness teachers, therapists, writers and parenting experts have all praised The Rock Collector for filling an important gap in the social emotional awareness literature for children in the 6-12 age bracket. Bursting with intention and layered with meaning, it is a beautifully crafted story with captivating illustrations that teaches readers about the power of reperceiving obstacles as opportunities and that life isn’t happening to them but for them. It is a set to become a bestselling children’s book that inspires bravery, confidence and mindfulness in kids.

The Rock Collector is about a boy named Ashmuvara. He is a World Champion, an Epic Athlete, an Archery Legend who has never once missed a shot! Except, competing is not what really makes his heart sing. Ashmuvara is a gentle and thoughtful nine-year-old boy who loves collecting rocks at the edge of the forest. One day, the wise and beloved Ganesha sets him on an unexpected course that will help him see that what he fears most isn’t losing an archery match, but disappointing his father who adores him dearly.

All first edition net proceeds go toward charitable organizations working to support disadvantaged children in South Africa with yoga, meditation, life and leadership skills.

“The Rock Collector reminds us that the best way to deal with difficult emotions is to simply go through them. Feeling our feelings is the right answer every time. Heartfelt and soulful, this charming story is a beloved reminder of the beauty of staying true to oneself and how joyful it feels to really be seen." ~Patrice Karst, bestselling author of The Invisible String
