From Rock Singer to Hymns Ancient And Modern (Revised and Updated) (Paperback)

Paperback. In October 2025 I released my 10th studio album entitled, "Lighting The Beacons." I'm lighting a few beacons in the fully revised and updated book of the faith adventures and exploits of a rock n roll vicar in rural Buckinghsire. I was a professional rock singer for 20 years, appeared on TV and Radio, recorded 10 Albums, wrote a few books and toured the world performing in bars, pubs, clubs, theatres with the occasional skirmish into bigger venues like the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena and the Marquee Club. So how did I end up as a traditional vicar looking after two parish churches in Buckinghamshire? I tell the story, pulling no punches - mistakes, blunders, victories - a lot of humour with a nod to the Vicar of Dibley! If you, like me, are bewildered by the Church of England with all its idiosyncracies, contradictions, and management speak, you will enjoy this ride into unknown territory by an unsuspecting but sincere pilgrim walking into the corridors of ecclesiology and religious jargon. Can I sing Choral Evensong with a rock 'n roll voice? What about the bats in the belfry and the chicken to be blessed at the village Pet Service? All fun and games and slightly off the wall! Paperback with 132 pages of drama and fun with a few serious pieces of what it's like to be a vicar in rural Buckinghamshire! This item is printed on demand.
