36.5x27 cm. Unbound issue of The Rod and the Gun (formerly The American Sportsman) newspaper. [385]-400 pp. Very good condition with mild chipping and wear at corners. A publication devoted to hunting and fishing. Includes the results of shooting competitions such as Pigeon Matches. This magazine was published from 1872 to 1877. Many ads for firearm and ammunition manufacturers and merchants on last three pages. See Mott, vol.3, p.210 (note 79).
