In 1949, five people fishing on the Rogue River near Gold Beach, Oregon watched an object hover above the water. The Air Force sent investigators. They could not explain it away. The file was closed as Case X and has stayed unexplained ever since.

Decades later, in the town of Rogue River, Oregon, outdoor photographer Mitch Wilde watches his best friend take an arrow to the chest. The wound is real. The arrow dissolves inside him and leaves nothing behind.

More strange things follow. Mitch's neighbor, a man who has spent years collecting evidence nobody wanted, shows him what he's been keeping.

Then Mitch photographs something coming out of a nearby lake.

About the Author

My debut duology, The Rogue River Incident --- Case XI, Books I & II sprung from an idea I had while watching Ancient Aliens on the History channel. I intertwine my love of Native American culture and a passion for the Pacific Northwest, primarily my birth state of Oregon in the paranormal mystery. I sat down one day and started writing. The characters and story came to life as I pressed the keys on my laptop. Every session was as if I were reading something new myself for the first time. It was great fun seeing what happened. I challenged myself by taking thoughts I have had over the years watching Ancient Aliens and X-Files, as well as my love of Native American culture and my experience with all the time I spent in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. Bringing these ideas together in a novel was more fun than I ever imagined.

I was the first person getting to read a new creation. As a writer, there is something alluring about this little fact. I, of course, know the characters and scenes like no one else and this is something tantalizing and fun. Kind of like knowing a fantastic secret that you can't share with anyone. Yet.
