About the Author: Julie Stewart, DNP, MSN, MPH, FNP-BC, Assistant Professor & Assistant Director of the FNP Program, Sacred Heart University. Dr. Stewart received her DNP from Case Western Reserve University, MSN/FNP from Sacred Heart University, and MPH from the UCONN Health Center. Dr. Stewart has earned numerous awards including the prestigious National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties Annual recognition award for " Outstanding Faculty Practice", the Florence S. Wald Award for Outstanding Contributions to Nursing Practice from the Connecticut Nurses’ Association, CT Nurse Practitioner of the year for 2006 by CTAPRNS, and received the Sacred Heart University CEHP Alumni Leadership Award 2006.
