Role of Management Information System for University Administration

This book is designed for understanding university administration. It also explains design and development of a Management Information System (MIS) for university administration. After considering the organizational structure and flow of information within a university and its affiliated colleges, a model of MIS has been designed. Considering less manpower - and due to globalization and competition from foreign universities in India - the use of Information Technology (IT) tools in university administration is becoming a priority task for all universities. The book explains how MIS is more suitable for university administration in day-to-day management of its various activities and it shows how to achieve common goals in stipulated time.
