Ex-library. A 1959 reprint, with corrections, of the 1932 revised edition. R. G. Collingwood has created a history of Britain during the time of its occupation by the Roman Empire. With frequent black & white illustrations, both on gloss plates and in the form of drawings scattered through the text. Includes a 23 cm. wide x 32 cm. tall folded map of Britain under Roman rule. --- In full brown cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling. Volume lacks the dust jacket (but a snippet from jacket is taped inside front cover). --- Evidence of former ownership by an upstate New York seminary library limited to a rubberstamping & embossed stamp to front free endpaper, due date slip taped to rear endpaper and with slight chafing & dusty soiling to cloth, else a clean, tightly-bound, unmarked copy.; Ex-Library; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; xvi, 160 pages.
