Introduction by Walter Starkie. Binding remains firm. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Moderate tanning and foxing to pastedowns and endpapers, with school prize plate to front pastedown. Boards have moderate edge wear with rubbing to surfaces and light staining to cloth. Moderate crushing to spine ends. Moderate fading to spine, with dulling to gilt. Moderate tanning and foxing to textblock.
