ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Root is a native Floridian from Ormond Beach. He began illustrating while at Yale University and designed cartoons for trade magazines while attending Columbia Medical School in New York.
A prolific writer and lecturer, his online textbooks attract over a million visitors a year, and his video eye lectures have been viewed over two million times on YouTube. He is frequently invited to speak at medical schools around the world.
Dr. Root practices ophthalmology in the greater Daytona Beach area. His spare time is dictated by a wife, dog, and an active 5-year-old boy.
