A partir de 1824, varios miles de afroamericanos libres participaron en un movimiento migratorio hacia La Española. Algunos se establecieron en la península de Samaná, donde construyeron familias, iglesias y comunidades, y donde el inglés continuó hablándose junto al español durante generaciones.
Inspirada en esa historia real, esta colección poética imagina voces a través del tiempo: personas que llegan, pertenecen, traducen, preservan, buscan, recuerdan y dejan preguntas para quienes vienen después. En esta edición bilingüe, cada poema aparece primero en español y luego en inglés, permitiendo escuchar a los mismos personajes y momentos a través de dos lenguas. Returns Policy
We ask all customers to contact us for authorisation should they wish to return their order. Orders returned without authorisation may not be credited.
If you wish to return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to obtain authorisation.
Returns requested beyond this time will not be authorised.
