About the Author

Ted Stevens has lived in Ohio, Michigan, and New York. He is currently a resident of Lakeland, Florida and has been a Florida resident since 1975. Ted did his undergraduate work at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. He received a Masters Degree in Secondary Science at Michigan State, East Lansing, Michigan. He owned and operated "ROSES" rose garden service in Polk County, Florida for a period of 12 years, as a second job to supplement his teacher income. After he sold his rose business Ted put his rose expertise into book form to be shared with the home rose grower. After 30+ years of teaching, Ted retired. He now visits garden centers, offering advice to rose lovers and signing his book. He is also available to groups and seminars for speaking engagements on the subject of growing roses.
