It's not the world Ted Vallan and his physician wife and two children live in, but Ted does not flinch from the facts and what he finds. That doesn't mean he isn't surprised or ever gets comfortable with the danger and events surrounding the case.

Ted works to define and manage challenges not only of this case but also with doubting State Police superiors and a question of the stability of his marriage. He truly does the best he can in a world that may have lurched a bit ahead of his values.
