About the Author
Starting out as a Software Engineer, Supriya switched careers to become a travel writer. Spending her time between Karnakata and Delhi, she travels to find coherence in life and love. With an active craving for local Indian food, she loves meandering through the alleys, backpacking and treasures talks with the old and wise. Bylines include Tripoto, Plan the Unplanned, Women's Web and Rough Guides.
Nick grew up in southeast London and went on to study Classics & Modern Greek at Oxford. This led to almost a decade teaching English in Athens and eventually joining the Rough Guides team for Greece. He soon branched out to cover his second great love, India, where he has spent over four years. After marrying Maria he lived in Pittsburgh for nine years and wrote about parts of the USA for the series. Since coming back full circle to SE London in 2008, he has also worked on other RG titles such as the Philippines, Chile and Cambodia, whilst EFL examining, faithfully attending Spurs matches and searching out obscure psychedelic sounds.
Rashmi Narayan is a London-based travel and food journalist who moved from her hometown of Bengaluru at the age of 22. She has travelled extensively across India, particularly the south and continues to do so when she visits her family every year. Being an avid railway enthusiast, she still prefers travelling by train with the Konkan coast featuring in her top train journeys. Hailing from a family of forest rangers in Karnataka, Rashmi is on a constant quest to bring forward India’s sustainable initiatives for the conscious traveller and work with organisations that protect the country's precious wildlife.
Maria Viskochil Edwards grew up mainly in Michigan but spent the majority of her adult life in Pittsburgh before permanently relocating to London in 2008. Always an avid traveller, she has written or fact checked several titles for Rough Guides, including California, Greece, Greek Islands, India, South India, Turkey and The USA.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
