A volume in the 14-volume set of "The Works of Theodore Roosevelt", Executive Edition, published some time shortly after his presidency. 8" tall, 336 numbered pages; one-piece dark blue binding, gilt lettering on spine, though some is worn off; a blind stamped "TR" on the front board; plain ivory end pages; fore edge is trimmed. Book has been used: it is square, hinges tight, all four corners bumped with wear and fabric damage with boards exposed, no dings on edges, head and heel of spine worn with fabric damage; Dewey decimal number inked in white on lower spine; some staining on both front and rear boards; top 2" of fore edge has a non-penetrating stain. The interior has few signs of use: FFEP has Dewey decimal number penciled at top edge, front paste down has area of barely visible 'roughed up' paper where a library sleeve was likely attached but has been carefully and neatly removed; no markings, stains, folded corners or other type of paper damage to text. Paper is lightly toned and a bit stiff but not at all brittle; hinges are tight and undamaged; spine is not cracked or otherwise damaged.
