Uncolored folded lithographed map from a report on the Western Railroad issued in 1837. Printed on very thin paper. fine condition, with very light foxing along some folds. Shows the line from Worcester to Springfield. Town lines are clearly shown, as are significant rivers and streams. Elevated terrain along the route is marked. The map shows 3 or 4 towns in from the Connecticut border from Longmeadow to Webster. Lithographed by T. Moore's Lithography. A few landmarks are identified along the route, such as Jenk's Factory in Ludlow and the Red School House in Spencer. Seller Inventory # m01599
