About the Author

Artemy M. Kalinovsky is Assistant Professor of East European Studies at the University of Amsterdam, and is author of A Long Goodbye: The Soviet Withdrawal from Afghanistan (2011) and co-editor of The End of the Cold War in The Third World (Routledge, 2011). Craig Daigle is Associate Professor of History, The City College of New York, CUNY, and is author of The Limits of D�tente: The United States, the Soviet Union, and the Arab-Israeli Conflict, 1969-1973 (2012).
