This format #10 (as per Mattson & Davis: Grosset, 7-5/8", medium brown cloth with red lettering; dust jacket 10A: white coated paper, pictorial, in green & red, same as the covers) book is in VG+ condition. It is square, very clean, with no corner bumps or edge dings, and lightly bumped head and heel of the spine, without fabric damage; bottom edge shows very slight wear. The spine is undamaged and nicely rounded. The interior is flawless: it is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage. Paper is very lightly toned and very flexible; the hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. Frontis + 3 is intact. In fact, this book may never have been read--there are a number of pages, mostly but not exclusively in the last signature, that have not been cut at the top edge. The VG jacket has modest toning with heavier toning on the spine; there are tiny edge chips and a small water stain on the top of the spine and drifting onto the rear panel--the book shows no evidence of water damage whatever.
