A satirical work on the conduct of Caroline, Princess of Wales. This is the fourth edition of this work. The author of this scarce work is unknown, with the title page attributing it to 'A Serjeant at Law'. Prior owner's note to recto of front endpaper states that 'this book was - to the 5th edition when all th copies that could be found were suppressed by the court'. In a full calf binding with gilt stamping to the spine . Externally, generally smart with small patches of rubbing to the extremities and to the joints. Surface cracks to spine resulting in small areas of light rubbing. Evidence of repair to rear board. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with light scattered spots throughout. Very Good.
