Original purple suede leather covers (oblong), yapp edges, with front cover heavily gilt central arabesque motif. Original wavy-grained glassine laid in, chipped and in two pieces, but it's presence obviously owing to preservation of this copy, which is very fine, no signs of us. Silk moire endpapers. Attractive orange initials throughout. In two colored box (orange base, brown top), worn and chipped at edges, but in tact, and the faces in very good condition, with the original Rubaiyat printed paper label on upper top panel.
