Rubank Advanced Method, Vol. 2 - Bass/Tuba (B.C.) is an advanced concert band method for tuba in bass clef in C, edited by H. Voxman and William Gower. Designed to follow the elementary and intermediate levels of another instructional method, this volume provides a carefully organized course of study for tuba players, private instructors, school music programs, and ensemble preparation.
The method includes standard music notation with a wide variety of studies and repertoire for bass clef tuba. Its complete pedagogy covers scales and arpeggios in all major and minor keys across the two-book course, melodic interpretation, more than 20 contest-level duets, six contest-level solos, articulation studies specialized for the instrument, flexibility exercises for brass, and ornamentation. These materials support regular technical study, expressive playing, lesson work, and preparation for solo or ensemble performance.
Generations of musicians have studied with Rubank methods because of their logical progression and broad musical scope.
