The Rudiments of Infectious Disease Transmission Dynamics: Mathematical Perspectives, Theory, and Applications in Public Health

This book presents the fundamentals of infectious disease transmission dynamics, with a focus on the mathematical modeling of malaria and tuberculosis (TB). It explains how these diseases spread, interact, and persist in human populations, especially in co-infection settings. It provides detailed knowledge of malaria and TB transmission processes and applies mathematical and computational methods to analyze their behavior. These include differential equation models, fractional-order models, and numerical techniques used to simulate disease spread and evaluate control strategies. The book emphasizes how mathematical tools can be used to understand infectious disease dynamics and support better public health decision-making.
