Rule No. 1

The world is full of fanatics, and the dry, ravaged dictatorship of Errat has more than its fair share, but Saman Massoudi is not one of them. Although he is very enthusiastic about his bees. The world is full of violence, and more people get killed in Errat than most places, but Saman Massoudi never killed anyone. Not even the people who murdered his wife and children. Saman Massoudi just wants to be left in peace to make his honey. So it really isn't fair that Saman Massoudi, of all people, should be wrongly-identified by the Intelligence Services of the most powerful nation on the planet as a terrorist mastermind plotting to unleash a plague of killer bees on their nation. Saman Massoudi has never believed in war. But he'd better believe in this one. Because it's on him. Concerned, impassioned and very funny, 'Rule No.1' is the coruscating new novel for our times by a daring and prodigiously talented young novelist

Rupert Morgan was born in London in 1965, to Scottish parents. He currently lives, with his wife and two daughters, on a boat on the Seine in Paris. His two previous and acclaimed novels are 'Let There Be Lite' and 'Something Sacred'.
