8vo. xxii, (1), 377pp., (5) ads, (16) folding plates on military movement. Original gray paper over boards with paper spine mostly perished, and partial paper label. The work originally done in 1792 became a standard and was reprinted many times. This edition would have been in use during the Napoleonic Wars. On the front pastedown it bears the signature of Thomas Whichcote 2nd Jany 1807 52nd Regiment. The regiment had the largest British battalion at Waterloo.
