Ruling The Roost

When a homeless drifter inherits a farm from a woman he barely knew, he discovers that staying alive is harder than staying broke.
Silas Reddin showed up to pay respects at Birdie Calloway’s funeral. He left as the shocked owner of her 200-acre Georgia farm—and the target of her son’s murderous rage.
Now Silas is dodging a hitman, fighting off a corporation that wants the land’s hidden water rights, falling for Birdie’s sharp-tongued veterinarian niece, and discovering family secrets that explain why a dying woman left everything to a stranger.
Between the homicidal rooster, the escape-artist goat, and a town full of people who’ve been stealing from the farm for years, Silas has his hands full just surviving his inheritance.
But Birdie Calloway didn’t do anything without a reason. And her final scheme is the biggest one of all.
A dark comedy about family, fraud, and one woman’s refusal to let death get in the way of revenge.
