About the Authors

Christina Barr doesn't know where she will be in five years. She has run marathons, driven cross country with her husband, Tom and a snoring pug, and has lived in Pennsylvania, Delaware, California, and Maryland. She loved growing up in Mechanicsburg, PA with four younger brothers. In 2020, many years of prayers were answered when she welcomed her son, Dominic into the world. She is an elementary school teacher who was inspired to write for her students coast to coast.

My name is Mel Schroeder and I am a freelance Children's Book Illustrator. I studied Animation and Digital Arts and graduated in 2014. Since I've been working on all sorts of Illustration and children's book collaborations as well as covers and editorial pieces. I live with my boyfriend, our beautiful German Shepherd Kira, two chubby squirrels (Totoro & Calcifer), and a sweet opossum (Arwen).I've been moved by art and literature since I can remember, my favorite books are the ones that make you travel to whimsical worlds so good that you forget real life for a while.
