About the Author
Werner Krutsch is Orthopaedic Surgeon and Specialist for Knee Surgery and Sports Medicine in the private institute SportDocsFranken in Nürnberg, Germany. He is Professor in the Department of Trauma Surgery at the University Medical Centre Regensburg and Head of the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence Regensburg, Germany. Professor Krutsch is Member of the Medical Committee and Co-Director of the Football Medicine Programme at the German Football Association DFB. He is additionally Member of the Task Force Sports Medicine of the Deutsche Fußball Liga and Team Physician of the Football Club 1. FC Nürnberg.
She is also president of the CSMF (Conseil Scientifique, Medical et de la Formation) of INSEP (Institut National des Sports, de l’Expertise et de la Performance) and member of the CA (Administration Council) of INSEP and member of the IOC Research Center REFORM since its creation.
Alberto Vascellari specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University of Bologna, and in Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Milan Bicocca, Italy. He is specialized in Shoulder, Knee and Ankle surgery and Sports traumatology. He is orthopaedic doctor of Universo Treviso Basket. He is currently member of the ISAKOS, ESSKA, ESSKA-ESMA and SIAGASCOT Sports Commettee.
