Runways Behind Me, Horizons Ahead: Notes from the Aftermath of a Life in Full Written in His Nineties

These poems shine with the mellow radiance of a life deeply lived, gathering childhood wonder, family love, friendship, music, flight, memory, and the soft companionship of beloved cats into one graceful tapestry. With warmth and hard-won wisdom, the author reflects on service, loss, resilience, and renewal, finding beauty in both open skies and quiet rooms. Tender, humane, and quietly uplifting, this collection sees aging not as diminishment but as deepening—a generous meditation on gratitude, hope, and the brave, abiding art of beginning again.
