About the Author

Haylee Roque, Ryker's sister, and Cheyenne Fontaine, Ryker's cousin, wanted to honor Ryker's memories and raise awareness of rabies. They realized through their experience that too much misinformation is out there, and it may have been responsible for many deaths. Working with government agencies as well as colleges across the United States, they have put together a book that not only tells Ryker's story, but includes the most up-to-date information to warn parents of the dangers they may face in their local environment from the animals all around us. Ryker was a light to his family and they hope it shines through in this telling of his story.
