Most likely lacking one plate. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition quarter red roan, git titles within a decorative gilt panel. Joints good condition rubbed and worn. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition original publisher's binding of quarter red roan over marbled boards. Page edges good condition top edge slightly darkened, all tanned. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition intact. Paste downs good condition plain, pencil notes on the front paste down, lightly tanned. End papers good condition plain, lightly tanned with some minor foxing, large water stain on the reverse of the frontispiece. Title good condition lightly tanned with some offsetting, marked along the bottom edge. Pages good condition tissue guarded frontispiece, 23 engraved plates with a total of 64 engravings throughout (complete), tanned throughout with a number of water marks, mostly to the plates.
