Published in Edinburgh in 1815 this is the Second Edition of this collection of Scottish Religious Educational Moral tales for the young, bound in an attractive old half leather binding, just under 9 inches tall, 464 pages, marbled paper is rubbed at edges, along with some wear to boards, it looks like an old label was removed from base of rear cover which has left surface damage to the paper, else the binding is in good solid condition, internally heavy noticeable foxing and browning to opening few pages, also from pages 220-260 there is very noticeable browning to page edges, it starts of gradually, then heavy for a few pages, then it starts to fade again, the block of four images together shows the worst of this in the top right picture. There is also browning to top edges of last two pages, the front blank endpaper has had the top corner torn away, probably to excise an old ownership name (pictured) else rest of contents in good general condition with a few creased page corners A GENERALLY GOOD ACCEPTABLE EXAMPLE OF THIS SCARCE BOOK.…
