It's informative, it's illustrated and it's what every owner or player of a stringed instrument needs. Dave Cavanagh's book will teach you about what makes your guitar work, what holds it back, what you can do to keep it in shape, and much more. Also, tips on performance. And life in general. Includes a detailed glossary and a table of the string sizes and tunings for almost every stringed instrument on the planet.

About the Author
Dave has played music professionally for more than 35 years. He played and traveled with Randy Sparks, Burl Ives and at last count, over 22 different bands. He currently entertains crowds with Ron DeLacy in Doodoo Wah, a politically incorrect folk duo. They keep people laughing with original tunes about current events. Check them out at DoodooWah.com
In addition to repairing musical instruments, Dave dabbles in webpage design, graphic art, stained glass, and the restoration of antiques. Being familiar with turn-of-the-century shop processes, Dave became adept at repairing and building reproductions of antiques such as rib-cage showers, train shelves and high-tank toilets. His latest creations are solid-body electric ukuleles, now available in many music stores. To see these ukuleles, go to DoodooWah.com and click on "Dave's Electric Ukes."
Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and grandson Jayme on the Sacramento river, cruising on one of his two boats: a 45-foot houseboat and a 28-foot 1964 Chris*Craft cabin cruiser.
